Do you love to shop online? Every time you shop with any of the thousands of participating online retailers, you will receive cashback in addition to any and all available promotions and sales. There is no limit to how much cashback you can earn. There are many online cashback portals to choose from... but this one is different and it's pretty awesome!

The "Shopping Assistant" is an extension application that works in conjunction with your brower: Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Apple's Safari. Just download the Shopping Assistant, install it on your favorite browser, and login to your account. You are ready to shop! Your cashback will usually show up in your account within 7 days.

You can do a search in the "cashback portal" where the Shopping Assistant will show a drop down menu of participating retailers to accept. Once you are on the retailer's site , a window will pop up with their cashback percentage offer.

You can also do a typical Google, Yahoo or Bing search for whatever you may wish to purchase and our browser-based Shopping Assistant will automatically add very clear notifications in red to your search results in order to alert you to cashback opportunities. Watch the videos below for more information.

This is an easy and fun way to save and earn cash! Simply follow the steps and links below to get started.

STEP ONE:
It's free to register! Create your profile. Start shopping. Start earning. Click HERE to sign up.

STEP TWO:

I'm excited to share my second guest blog article on CouponsDaily.com regarding couponing tips for newbies!

Using coupons to save money is more popular than ever. I've been using coupons even before the recession because it just makes sense. Why spend more when you can get it for less?

Some frugal celebrities (frugalebrities!) such as Kristin Bell, Jay Leno, Sarah Michelle Geller, Hilary Swank and even Lady Gaga have publicly professed their penchant for using coupons.

There are many versions of coupons, including ones you clip from magazines, newspapers or mailers and ... (read more)

5 Ways to Lengthen the Life of Products

4/10/2014

If you are like me, you hate to waste perfectly good food. I'm the same way with certain beauty products. Why throw away something just because it's "almost" empty. Get more value for your hard earned dollars by stretching the life of these products to the max!

Here are some tricks and tips that I've personally done that InStyle magazine also wrote about in their April 2014 issue. Frugal, green and savvy!

  1. Keep almost empty shampoos, conditioners, cleansers and lotion bottles upside down. Every last drop will fall to the bottom for easy release.
  2. Cut tubes of toothpaste, lotions, etc.. in half and use the top half as a temporary lid or cover.
  3. Use makeup that are multi-purpose such as a cream blush that can also be used on lips and eyes.
  4. Extend the life of soaps by molding tiny soap remnants together with a larger bar of soap.
  5. Use a lip brush to apply the last remaining lipstick from the bottom of the tube.

What does living frugally mean to me? Well, it does NOT mean being cheap, quite the contrary, I believe it’s being smart in your choices, such as how you spend your money everyday. Prioritize and take control of what’s important to you. I always strive to spend less on almost everything.

In this challenging economy, some of us have had to cut back on our expenses. Wouldn't it be nice to still have the things or services you want and need but not have to pay full price or even better, get them for free?

Choose value and quality over quantity or fads and you will come out ahead. The great benefit of being frugal is that it eliminates waste and clutter which in turn helps our environment.  By doing simple changes towards more “green” and frugal ways, together we can make an impact on our planet.

    About Me

    Picture
Hi, my name is Marissa Winfrey and I have been living the frugal life ever since I can remember. I have always looked for great bargains and getting the best value for my money without compromising style and quality.

My background is in visual display and interior decorating. It’s always been my objective to recommend cost effective solutions to my clients. I, of course, practice what I preach! I have furnished my own homes mostly with furnishings and decor items from my own little vintage boutique, estate sales, discount stores, flea markets, yard sales, thrift stores and even curbside discarded furniture!

My frugal practice goes beyond the home. I offer money saving tips on just about everything, from shopping to travel and everything in between. I hope my blog and website will inspire everyone to be their own Frugalista.

    Follow me on Facebook, Google+
