Save Money On Auto Expenses

Car expenses can really add up. I've had to have several car repairs done to my 12 year old SUV within the last couple of years. I want to try to keep my car as long as possible, so that I don't have to have car payments again (it's been paid for 8 years now). Plus, with a new vehicle car insurance would most likely cost more also. When it comes to finding a good, reliable mechanic, I turn to the reviews on Yelp! I've been happy with the services I've received from the places I've gone to... from smog check shops to air conditioning repair service. Plus, there's deals on some if you "check in" via their Yelp! page.

Since turning 50, I have my auto insurance through AARP. I'm qualified to receive the "over 50" lower rate, good driver discount, plus since my car is older, I opted to eliminate the comprehensive coverage, so I save even more money. It pays to compare insurance rates with many different companies, it could save you a lot of money per year.
