Savvy Couponing

I've started using coupons before it was cool and acceptable to use coupons! Now it seems like everyone has caught on to this frugal idea. I personally keep an organized wallet of coupons in my purse at all times. I only clip coupons that I know I will actually use. I discard any coupons that have expired and replace them with current ones by category... my wallet has tabs by category, such as... groceries, restaurants, car, etc.. I have coupons for things like car wash, office supplies, haircuts, restaurants, etc...

I also carry loyalty or reward cards for merchants such as coffee shops, hair salons, car wash, etc... it's where they stamp your card every time you go and you receive a free product or service when you have a designated amount of stamps on your card. Another way to save money and take advantage of deals is to fill out surveys from retailers, restaurants, etc... where they reward you with free stuff or a % percentage off or a $ dollar off your next purchase just by filling out their online survey form.

Couponing Tips For Newbies

Using coupons to save money is more popular than ever. I've been using coupons even before the recession because it just makes sense. Why spend more when you can get it for less?  Some frugal celebrities (frugalebrities!) such as Kristin Bell, Jay Leno, Sarah Michelle Geller, Hilary Swank, even Lady Gaga have publicly professed their penchant for using coupons.

There are many versions of "coupons"... coupons you clip from magazines, newspapers or mailers, and online coupons that you can either print out or have the merchant scan from a mobile app to receive your discount. There are also coupon codes or promo codes that you enter at checkout when shopping online. I use them all. I've saved big money using coupons on practically everything... restaurants, clothing, groceries, movie rentals, vitamins, haircuts, coffee, tools, shoes, office supplies, makeup, car wash, event tickets and more!

Do you think it's hard to master the art of couponing? Think again! Whether you are at the extreme end of couponing or a just a beginner, there are basic rules to becoming a successful couponer. It's fun and it's easy! Here are my 15 tested tips to truly save money using coupons:
